Manchester city centre law firm Robert Meaton & Co won the “Best Recruiter” award in the small firm category at the LawCareers.net Training and Recruitment & Awards 2010 held in London on 10th June. The awards are given annually to recognise the best recruiters and trainers among law firms in the UK.

Upon being presented with this prestigious accolade Senior Partner Robert Meaton said: “We are delighted to have won as these awards are decided not by firms with the most resources but by the results of surveys completed by real entrants to the legal profession and reflecting their actual experiences. In order to provide a professional, quality service is it crucial that we recruit the right people and this award reflects the effort that we put into recruitment and training at the firm.”

This year’s survey was completed by nearly 3000 trainees and newly qualified solicitors. The awards ceremony was held at the Stationers’ Hall and was attended by 170 guests from 68 different law firms.
